Shades of Deep Purple

The original photograph captures the tranquillity of Ettrick Bay at dusk, as the setting sun casts a luminous path across the water towards Inchmarnock and Kildavannan. A purple filter was used on the camera lens, enhancing the natural evening light and creating the dramatic indigo, violet and magenta tones that give the image its distinctive character.
